All Earth is Waiting…for Jesus
On this Christmas Eve, all earth is waiting for the human children of God to respond to the miracle of God’s incarnation, by living with respect in Creation, honouring the sacred place of every creature, every habitat, every family of humanity, living together in peace, sharing the abundance of God’s good Earth sustainably and for the good of all.
The Way the Women Tell It
The Love Earth is waiting for is full of courage, wholehearted, and true to the values of trust, honesty, integrity and resilience. Today’s worship uses the stories of Creation, and of Scripture, to inspire our own loving living. This worship includes a dramatic retelling of Luke’s story of Mary and her cousin Elizabeth, written by Rev. Dr. Elisabeth Jones.
Joy shall come, even…
Gaudete! Joy!! This Sunday interrupts the deepening winter, and seasonal melancholy, with joy, whether we’re ready or not!
All Earth is Waiting for Peace
As Advent unfolds, we hear the call to peace: peace within ourselves, peace among us, and peace for all creation. In a world marked by conflict, division, and uncertainty, what does it mean to wait for the peace of Christ? How does this peace differ from what we often imagine? Today, as we gather at Christ’s table, may we be nourished by the promise of peace that restores, renews, and unites all things.
All Earth is Waiting for Hope
Advent and late Fall coincide in the Northern Hemisphere. What can we learn from Creation about faithful waiting? And what is Creation herself waiting for? These are the themes that will guide our 2024 Advent season. We also celebrate the completion of Youth Spirit Quest 2024.
